What is PRIMA?
PRIMA is women-focused, evidence-based, dynamic, and contributing. PRIMA classes and personal training incorporate emerging research around women's fitness and sports performance. Our coaching and workouts attend to women's lived experiences, day-to-day, and throughout the lifespan.
Is PRIMA boxing only?
PRIMA is more than boxing. We work with women on a range of goals, including strength and conditioning, power, body composition, balance and mobility, rehabilitation, and athletic performance across a spectrum of sports. PRIMA BOXING is the cornerstone for PRIMA by ABBY, and anyone who works with PRIMA TRAINING has access to the possibility of boxing as part of their training (technique, mitt work, ring work). However, PRIMA is founded in recognition of all the amazing ways we have to move, compete, and connect. We celebrate and engage with a wide range of athletes, sports, and communities.
When did PRIMA start?
ABBY ATHLETICS launched PRIMA on December 31, 2024. Our first PRIMA class was on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. PRIMA BOXING classes have been running weekly since that time! Correspondingly, we have been offering personal training -- for fitness as well as sports -performance -- that builds from women's questions, insights, and lived experiences.
