What is PRIMA?
PRIMA is women-focused, evidence-based, and contributing. PRIMA classes and personal training incorporate emerging research around women's fitness and sports performance in our coaching approaches. Our workouts attend to women's lived experiences.
Is PRIMA only boxing?
PRIMA is more than boxing. We work with women on a range of goals, including strength and conditioning, body composition, rehabilitation, and athletic performance across a spectrum of sports. PRIMA BOXING is the cornerstone for PRIMA by ABBY, and anyone who works with PRIMA TRAINING has access to the possibility of boxing as part of their training (technique, mitt work, ring work). However, PRIMA is founded in recognition of all the amazing ways we have to move our bodies in competition and in daily life. We celebrate and engage with a wide range of athletes, sports, and communities.
When did PRIMA start?
ABBY ATHLETICS launched PRIMA on December 31, 2024. Our first PRIMA class was on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. PRIMA BOXING classes have been running weekly on Saturday or Sunday since that time! Correspondingly, we have been taking women's specific questions, needs, and experiences into our personal training sessions since our founding.
